Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Material Handlers are responsible for keeping products neatly packaged, wrapped/p palletized and labeled correctly. Ensure that all products are stored in the warehouse according to the customer specifications. Responsible for keeping warehouse clean, heat and orderly ensuring that forklifts are properly maintained.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for placing product in designated rows in warehouse neatly and evenly.

Supply production area with needed raw materials.

Assist in moving product into the print room when needed.

Knowledgeable in operating stretch wrap/shrink wrap machine.

Ensure labeling and packaging are correct prior to moving product into warehouse.

Communicate with shipping and production supervisors daily.

Knowledge of proper loading procedures to assist loaders when needed.

Knowledge of safe procedures regarding the use of forklifts.

General housekeeping of warehouse. Keep clean and organized.

Cover other material handlers during breaks.

Use problem-solving skills to handle situations that may arise.

Complete forklift inspection and complete Operator Daily Checklist.

Scan all trays, follow work order completion and put trays in proper location

Must post at least one near miss/safety observation monthly.
