The Consumer Packaging North America Division has an immediate need for a Design & Additive Manufacturing Intern. This role will assist our Corporate Additive Manufacturing (AM) team to deliver on a division wide AM strategy to support Berry Global’s North American manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Use of SolidWorks 3D CAD software for part modeling and technical drawings.
• Reverse engineering of MRO components to support manufacturing efficiencies.
• Improvement of reverse engineered MRO part designs.
• Accurately measure parts using various types of digital devices such as calipers and micrometers.
• Troubleshoot and brainstorm with cross functional teams across multiple manufacturing sites to deliver MRO solutions that yield cost savings and improved manufacturing efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a Product Design/Development related field
• SolidWorks or related 3D CAD experience
• High mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities
• Knowledge of 3D printing technologies
• Collaborative driven team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
• Confident and articulate speaking skills
• Good listening and note taking skills
• Strong organizational skills
