Bernatello's is Hiring an Equipment Operator I Near Kaukauna, WI

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Line Production Responsibilities 

  • Set up machines
  • Operate machines in a safe manner
  • Ensure machine is operating as efficiently as possible
  • Troubleshoot machinery as necessary to minimize downtime
  • Tear down the machinery properly and as necessary
  • Understand the pre op process of various areas and complete as necessary
  • Manage changeover process for assigned area
  • Perform basic maintenance duties on machinery
  • Properly dispose of all garbage, food waste, and recycling throughout the shift and document waste
  • Complete all required paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Work together as a team and cooperate with other employees
  • Assist in other areas as necessary
  • Communicate issues and ideas with line lead or supervisor
  • Fill in on other machines as necessary

Quality/Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all GMP, SOP, HACCP, and SQF rules
  • Monitor products for quality defects and report to line lead
  • Complete all required Quality documentation legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner

Safety Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean work area free of hazards
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Minimum one year of manufacturing experience required
  • Food manufacturing experience desired
  • Machine operating experience desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to understand written or spoken English instructions
  • Ability to speak and write in English
  • Ability to work with pork, dairy, soy, wheat, egg, shellfish, nut products, and fish
  • Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
  • Ability to take measurements and do basic math calculations
  • Organization and time management skills required
  • Technical/mechanical skills required
