The Position: With growing agency needs, we have an opening for an Account Manager to serve on our Personal Lines team! In this role, you will be overseeing a book of personal lines clients and will be assisting with designated tasks as follows:

  • Direct communication with clients to service any needs that may arise to include coverage reviews and explanation, billing resolution, or provide proof of insurance coverage as requested
  • Direct communication with insurance companies and brokers to market accounts and handle daily transactions as requested
  • Suspensing follow-up notifications in system to complete tasks
  • Processing policy changes and follow-up with insurance carriers as necessary to ensure requested changes were endorsed onto policies accurately throughout the policy term
  • Gathering and processing policy changes under the direction of the client at policy renewal
  • Analyzing renewal and new business quotes for coverage adequacy and accuracy based on applications submitted
  • Generate renewal proposals that accurately reflect the insurance program in place
  • Meet with clients as necessary to complete applications, collect signatures and insurance premiums, and provide coverage explanations
  • Reviewing issued policies for accuracy and prepare policies for delivery to client
  • Generating proper evidence of insurance coverages (COI, CPI, EPI, Binders) as requested by clients
  • Invoicing, reconciliation, and resolving billing issues on accounts
  • Participate in renewal meetings with the Account Executive to provide updates on client accounts and create plans for marketing and identify opportunities to provide additional coverages
  • Create system generated reports and documents to facilitate business needs
  • Document all pertinent client communication within agency management system (Vertafore AMS360) in accordance with agency best practices

It is also important to note, this is not a sales role. The focus of this role is client support and customer relations for existing clients at the direction of an Account Executive who would handle all aspects for the solicitation of new business.

This is an On-Site only role with no capability for remote work.

Knowledge & Skills: For this role, the following skills and competencies are vital to your success and ours:

  • Strong analytical mindset and abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
  • Computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Vertafore AMS360 product knowledge is a plus but not required
  • A basic knowledge of personal lines insurance coverages and products, or be willing to train and learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelors level college degree preferred
  • Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance Agent License – For applicants not currently licensed, you must be willing and able to complete the pre-licensing course and pass the state licensing examination within 60 days of the start of your employment as licensing is a requirement for the position. All licensing and course costs will be covered by the agency.
  • 2 years of experience in an insurance, banking, or similar administrative setting; brokerage or independent agency experience is preferred

  • Base salary dependent on experience - Range shown would be based on entry level applicant with no prior experience.
