Preschool Teachers
Berman Hebrew Academy Preschool is seeking lead teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and values a positive and supportive relationship with children and families. Candidates should be creative and flexible and able to foster a caring and nurturing environment in the classroom. They should be interested in working collaboratively with colleagues and value continued professional growth and learning. They should possess knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practice and a child centered, constructivist approach. Familiarity with the Reggio Approach would be appreciated.
Responsibilities will include: planning classroom activities in support of all areas of the children’s development and the curriculum; supervision of the children inside and outside the building; care of the physical environment; classroom management; compliance with Maryland state licensing regulations; attendance at staff meetings and required training sessions, scheduled during and outside of normal working hours.
Candidates should be observant in Jewish practice and/or highly knowledgeable.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or
related field, CDA or Level 4 Maryland Credentialing, or working toward one of the
above.
Bilingual in Hebrew and English a plus.
