JOB TITLE: Fabrication Estimator

SUPERVISOR: Fabrication Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Fabrication Estimator role is responsible for quoting customers custom metal fabrication jobs by review of documentation & blueprints. The role is also responsible for creating shop plans and determining all cost required to complete fabrication jobs. This role interacts daily with leadership, employees, customers, and vendors supporting a culture of Safety, Service, and Positivity.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Quotes & fulfills customer orders ensuring quick turnaround, high quality and profitability.

- Monitors bids, job costing, & production to constantly improve accuracy & efficiency.

- Handle any company documentation accurately and thoroughly.

- Continually supports/develops customer relationships.

- Performs site visits as necessary.

- Support all departments as needed.

- Works well independently or as a team.

- Understand and enforces all company policies and safety rules.

- Model the company’s core values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Estimating/Project Management Experience (3 years min).

- Blueprint Reading (3 years min).

- Knowledge of Structural Steel & Fabrication Equipment.

- Excellent time management/math/written/verbal communication skills.

- Valid Driver’s License.

- Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards for general industry.

- Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Preferred Qualifications:

- OSHA 30.

- Overhead Crane & Forklift Experience.

- AutoCAD and Other Computer Proficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
