Position Summary The Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets will be responsible for all designated tasks in support of the group's product development, capital raising and client servicing efforts for Berkshire's Multifamily Investment businesses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support new product development and corporate growth strategy
Create internal product approval memos, business plans and Board of Directors presentations for different product initiatives
Assist with the compilation of industry and competitive research, including assessment of market terms and conditions
Assist with product structuring and understanding legal and tax issues
Lead the production of Private Placement Memorandums
Review fund model outputs and effectively communicate results with prospective investors
Evaluate and price potential M&A activity and other inorganic growth opportunities
Support capital raising and client servicing efforts for a range of products
Lead the completion of due diligence questionnaire requests and RFPs
Write, edit and update marketing materials
Maintain and update key corporate statistics and track record information
Assist with preparation for investor meetings and site visits
Assist with the completion of investor and consultant information requests
Populate and maintain online data rooms for prospective investors
Collaborate with other Berkshire teams to collect data and information for prospective investors
Use and leverage the team's CRM to track prospective investor communications and assess the composition of Berkshire's investor base
Internal support for Business Development initiatives
Mentor and collaborate with other Business Development team members
Help prepare internal capital markets updates
Assist in the completion of strategic area plans
Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion
Knowledge/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate investment management
Investment banking, real estate private equity or institutional real estate consulting background a plus
Excellent analytical and Excel modeling skills
Experience with CRM software
Able to work independently, handle multiple priorities and apply good judgment
Smart, energetic, team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Able to work effectively with Berkshire employees and other professionals
Demonstrate broad knowledge base and "big picture" strategic thinking
Demonstrate self-confidence with senior management
Demonstrate mature conduct in high pressure and sensitive situations
Strong interest in a real estate investment management career
Demonstrated management skills with track record of building teams and identifying, mentoring, and growing talent in-person and virtual

Technical/Educational Requirements:
Demonstrated advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Demonstrated ability to use and learn new technology (e.g., computers/hardware, mobile, software, cloud-based programs)
Proficiency with computers, keyboards, monitors and telephone headsets.
Proficiency in remainder of Microsoft Suite of Products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Teams,)
