Berkshire Grey is Hiring a Manufacturing Quality and Process Manager Near Bedford, MA

The Manufacturing Quality and Process Manager role oversees our internal manufacturing processes and external Contract Manufacturing processes to ensure they are efficient and produce high-quality products across all product lines. This position encompasses managing internal and external processes and supplier quality to uphold and exceed industry standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various internal teams, including Manufacturing Operations Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain, and external teams, including Contract Manufacturers and Component Suppliers to implement process improvements, manage quality systems, and spearhead continuous improvement and supplier quality management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and Quality Management: Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols and processes that ensure product quality and compliance. Lead process improvement initiatives to boost manufacturing efficiency, capacity, and productivity.

- Operational Oversight: Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards. Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Team Leadership: Influence and develop internal teams in quality assurance and process engineering, providing necessary training and support.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Supplier Quality Management: Implement and oversee a supplier quality management system. Conduct audits, assess supplier facilities, and collaborate on quality improvements.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work across departments to address quality issues, including those related to suppliers, and develop corrective action plans.

- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on process performance, quality metrics, and production metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.

- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 3 years in a Quality or process improvement role.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Data analysis expertise, with an ability to implement strategic solutions based on findings.

- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

- Preferred: Experience with supplier quality management, including audits, evaluations, and performance monitoring.

- Preferred: Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
