Berkshire Grey is Hiring a Director of Project Managers Near Bedford, MA

Job Summary:

As a Manager of Project Managers, you will lead a team of project management professionals responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the organization. Your primary goal is to ensure that all projects contribute to our strategic objectives while meeting scope, time, quality, and budget requirements. This role requires a balance of technical project management knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project management team, ensuring effective execution of projects and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Mentor and develop project managers on best practices, project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and leadership skills.
  • Ensure consistency in project management standards, documentation, and processes across all projects.
  • Facilitate resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize project outcomes and team performance.
  • Lead the strategic planning of project initiatives, including setting objectives, determining priorities, and assessing risks.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure project goals are met and stakeholders are engaged.
  • Implement project management tools and technology to enhance productivity and communication.
  • Monitor project performance metrics, prepare reports for executive leadership, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, acting as a point of escalation for project-related issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO by identifying and implementing best practices and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role over Project Managers.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of project managers and delivering complex projects successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
