Responsibilities

Support Berkley Small Business Solutions’ growth strategy as an Underwriting Technician by assuming ownership for the Agent licensing and appointment process, including coordinating appointment request submissions as well as creation and maintenance appointments once approved. 

Key functions include but are not limited to:

• Directly accountable for the accurate and timely processing of policy sales & servicing transactions aligned with company growth strategy
• Coordinate the submission, payment, tracking and reporting of all vendor invoices to ensure expense management
• Support the vendor invoicing, payment and expense tracking processes in coordination with Accounts Payable.
• Assume ownership for defining, documenting and continuously evaluating specified process & procedures to identify potential improvement opportunities.
• Perform monthly reviews of completed policy transactions to ensure accuracy and conformance with defined procedures
• Provide administrative support for company special events, meetings, conventions, etc.
• Apply innovation behaviors to identify, test and implement opportunity to continuously improve existing processes.
• Contribute to the company’s continued success by completing additional activities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately complete assignments on/before required deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, decision making and analytical skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Office products
• Experience using SalesForce, Sircon a plus
• Travel: 5-10%
