Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within our organization. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing data, the data pipeline architecture, the data flow and collection for cross functional teams. As a crucial part of the business, you will guide and support our software developers, data analysts on business initiatives while ensuring optimal data delivery architecture is consistent. Whether it’s working on a solo project or with the team, you are self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

  • Participates in requirements analysis
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery/ dataOps
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
  • Collaborates with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
  • Write clean, scalable code using C# and JavaScript
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Code enhancements to existing software applications and provide technical support
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Demonstrate the use of tact and discretion in all communications and provide a positive contribution to the morale of the department
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with unit staff, clients, providers, and other departments

Skills and Experience

  • 3 years of experience as a SQL Developer
  • Experience in developing new SQL code in Microsoft SQL server as part of ETL processes.
  • Ability to develop and improve stored procedures functions using T-SQL and Dynamic SQL
  • Must have in-depth experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SQL Agent, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT 
  • Build reports and dashboards using SSRS and Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with Azure cloud architecture, azure stack including Data factory, Databricks, Synapse and ADLS Gen2
  • Experience with predictive analytics: Python knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Good communication skills 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field

Travel Requirements

  • Low level of domestic U.S. travel is required (5% - 10% of time)
