Berklee College of Music is Hiring a Summer Programs Resident Assistant Near Boston, MA
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Summer Resident Assistants (Summer RAs) are accessible, trustworthy, and respected student leaders striving to create a safe and inclusive environment for Berklee Summer Programs. They facilitate the well-being of the Summer Programs guests through programming, mentoring, and peer leadership. They serve as ambassadors for Berklee and the Conservatory and exemplify the qualities of a Berklee student. Responsibilities Include:
Serving as a resource, mentor, and role model to Summer Program students
Participating in a scheduled rotation of duties whenever programs are in session
Overseeing specific Summer Programs, as assigned by the Conservatory Summer Resident Director
Assisting with all check-in and checkout processes for Summer Programs
Developing programs for summer residents based on interest and need
Enforcing policies as outlined by the Code of Conduct
Documenting and reporting any inappropriate behaviors
Assisting in day-to-day operations of buildings (work orders, key management, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
Understand and support the mission of Boston Conservatory at Berklee
Live on-campus throughout Summer Programs
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
The ability to think critically
Flexibility, maturity, and excellent time management skillsWork well in a team environment
Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to get to know new people, and a readiness to have fun!
