Berkeys is s currently seeking detail oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team due to expansive growth! The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for the overall timely placement of orders and delivery of materials.

Compensation: $20-$23/hour DOE

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates, reviews, tracks, and obtains necessary signatures for purchase orders for the acquisition of materials and services.
• Assist with the research and the negotiation of pricing with vendors.
• Assist with vendor management and maintenance.
• Has a knowledge of, or can easily learn, plumbing, HVAC, Electrical parts, and commonly-used terms/concepts.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Reporting of purchase orders and purchase order status.
• Reconcile outstanding purchase orders at month end and maintain material items in the purchase order system.
• Assist with other office/warehouse projects as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in an office/warehouse environment and lift up to 40 LBS on a regular basis.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a purchasing role working in the Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical industry (preferred)
• Experience with WASP and Service Titan preferred, or other ERP system.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel.
