Berkeley College 2 is Hiring an Adjunct Instructor, Graphic Design Near Woodland, NJ

Berkeley College is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach in the Graphic Design department. Subjects include 3D Modeling, Motion Graphics, Game Design and Three-Dimensional Design. As a Graphic Design Adjunct, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students, creating an engaging learning environment, and helping them develop the necessary skills to pursue lifelong success in dynamic careers.

Subject Area Insight:
3D Modeling. 3D Software (Autodesk Maya, Blender, Substance Painter), 3D Modeling, UV Mapping, Rigging, Texturing and Shading, Lighting and Rendering, AR/VR Metaverse integration (Spatial, Mona, etc.)
Motion Graphics. Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition Adobe Premiere
Game Design. Unity, Programming Languages (C#, C , and Python), Maya/Blender, Level Design, Documentation, Game Physics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Collision Detection, and Optimization Techniques, AR/VR Metaverse integration (Spatial, Mona, etc.)
Three-Dimensional Design. Transforming two-dimensional ideas into three-dimensional experiences, using various materials and construction methods. The ideal candidate will be skilled in hands-on design work and adept at guiding students in creating, representing, and responding to form in physical space.

Responsibilities:
• Teaching courses following a detailed lesson plan that emphasizes active student engagement and project-based learning.
• Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment for students, fostering a sense of community.
• Communicating complex subject matter clearly and concisely to a diverse range of learners.
• Providing timely feedback and mentoring to students in-person and via email.
• Ensuring assignments are graded on time.
• Completing administrative tasks within specified deadlines.
• Facilitating class critiques to encourage collaborative learning and constructive feedback among students.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline
• College-level teaching experience preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of related industries & interest in emerging technologies
• Familiarity with Canvas LMS
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to teach onsite (Woodland Park campus) and online. (Candidates wishing to teach online must have the proper computer equipment and bandwidth for streaming.)
