SUMMARY
Arcticom LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Business/Operations Manager for Alaska Operations. This position will oversee Arcticom's Alaska Commercial, State and Local Government and Federal business operations. This position will also manage the selection of Federal Contracts for BSNC Subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
* Manage a portfolio of contracts ensuring satisfactory performance of the contract requirements while maintaining expected profit margins for each assigned contract.
* Assigns and supervises project PM's and project leads to manage contracts and specific projects.
* Helps in the preparation of annual budgets for the assigned contracts and projects.
* Oversees hiring and onboarding for the portfolio of contracts and projects. Be able to actively recruit for vacant positions.
* Maintains relationships with the customers.
* Maintains relationships with subcontractors.
* Works with Corporate Management and Subsidiaries to develop Business Development opportunities under the BSNC business structure.
* Be able to develop business opportunities in existing and new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
* 3 Years of Contract task management/Program manager-Project Manager
* 10 years working in the communications and IT industry in a supervisory role
* Must be able to attain a Secret Clearance
* Maintains a Strong Safety Culture
* General Knowledge of Radio frequency, and Telecom Communications systems.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
* Able to work without guidance.
* Strong oral and written skills
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, PowerPoint, Word and excel skills.
Preferred
* Bachelors degree
* CCNA Certification
* Knowledge of construction Trades

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
* No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
