Bergman KPRS is Hiring a Traveling Experienced Superintendent Near Denver, CO

Bergman KPRS is looking for an experienced Commercial Superintendent(s) with a strong background in medical, grocery, retail T.I.'s, and fast food work. We are a national General Contractor/Project Management firm that seeks a talented "hands-on" individual that enjoys challenge and has measurable experience in all aspects of construction dealing with multiple trades from inception to completion.

The position we are looking to fill is for traveling candidates in the Denver area or surrounding areas that does not mind "Traveling" to other bordering states if future work demands it. Their responsibilities include field supervision of assigned projects including but not limited to; its organization, planning, coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety compliance in accordance with Bergman KPRS standards.

*Note - Looking to have this person become part of our team by 3/01 for an upcoming project(s).

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
  • Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
  • Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of STRONG verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of various trades. PLEASE MUST PROVIDE PROJECT LIST.
  • Must have hands on building experience on site as a Superintendent.
  • Ability to read Blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Communicate using the following tools: Computer for written logs, email, IPhone, IPad etc.
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations;
  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Highly motivated and ability to be flexible in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProCore
  • Strong, clean professional appearance
