Summary

Maintains buildings and grounds according to Bergey’s standards and work orders requested in a professional and efficient manner resulting in quality repairs for customers.

Essential Duties

• Performs work as outlined on work order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Bergey’s Standards
• Diagnoses authorized complaints and malfunctions on work orders and documents findings in details and repairs same. Documents all work performed and recommended on the work order.
• Communicates with department based on local procedures.
• Continually communicates with Maintenance Scheduler when additional work is needed, when repairs cannot be completed within the promised time, or when other problems are encountered.
• Projects a positive image to customers by treating customers with respect.
• Participates in safety training.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Maintains and is accountable for all Bergey’s-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received. 
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports machinery defects and malfunctions to supervisor. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. 
• Maintains a professional appearance and projects a professional image at all times. Maintains an overall attitude of cooperation by being able to put any and all conflicts and concerns aside to strive toward a common goal of customer satisfaction and company profitability. 
• Consistently reliable and dependable and adheres to specified work schedule.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening
