We are currently expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Optical Sales Associate to join us in providing exceptional service and expert guidance in the selection and dispensing of eyewear and accessories.

Job Description
As an Optical Sales Associate at Bergen Optometry, your main goal will be to provide quality customer service, fulfilling the needs of our clients through the sale and dispensing of eyeglasses, non-prescription sunglasses, contact lenses, and accessories. You will be expected to uphold our standards of excellence in customer service, foster customer loyalty, and contribute to repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to our customers.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their optical needs; accurately measure and order customer spectacles and contact lenses.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Verify accuracy of completed orders for eyewear and contact lenses.
• Address customer questions and concerns with professionalism.
• Support team members and contribute to the optometric practice as needed.
• Protect company assets, including inventory and equipment.
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork.
• Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to team objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a sales associate in an optical/optometric environment—minimum 1 year required.
• Team-oriented, friendly, energetic, and driven.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
• Ability to travel occasionally and work at different store locations as needed.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish/English will be considered an asset.
