Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at our esteemed Endoscopy Center. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our center by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Answer and respond to patient phone calls promptly and courteously.

Conduct patient follow-up calls to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or questions.

Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to chart and input patient information accurately as needed.

Assist nurses as needed in various clinical tasks and procedures.

Facilitate patient flow through the center by cleaning patient and procedure rooms between appointments in a timely manner.

Perform endoscope reprocessing according to established protocols and guidelines.

Maintaining inventory and stocking supplies.

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information, as well as healthcare, financial, and company data.

Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an endoscopy center or similar facility.

Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus.
