The School General Director oversees the budgets, logistics, schedules, disciplinary actions, evaluations, and public relations. Functions as a pastoral arm towards the employees and the community. Ensure teachers have the equipment and resources necessary to deliver educationally effective curriculum. Also have a hand in matters like planning events and implementing curriculum. The School General Director is reports to the Lead Pastor or his designate.

Responsibilities:

· Presents a pastoral leadership to the overall operation of the academy.

· Manage budgets, payroll, logistics and events or meetings.

· Perform fund acquisition efforts from government sponsored programs, donors, etc.

· Handle scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.

· Oversees staff and ensures the compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Hires, train, evaluates and advise staff.

· Manages school admissions, finances, and negotiations with clients.

· Ensure the school complies with relevant laws and regulations.

· Counsel students, staff and parents when needed.

· Conflict resolution.

· Promotes the facility, in marketing efforts.

· Participates in licensing, compliance, and government sponsored programs, etc.

· Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies, and the public.

· Have a hand in the creation of the curriculum.

· Implement actions that improve the and the quality of education (e.g. building renovations, new guidelines for students, new subjects).

· Formulates and promotes the vision of the school.

· Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

· Highly preferred, being a good standing member of Berea Bible Church or a likeminded church. Agree to Berea Bible Church’s statement of faith and abide by its provisions. Deacon qualified (I Timothy 3:8-13).

· Have necessary child development, administrative credits, and CPR Training as required by licensing.

· Ability to use computers (e.g. MS Office) and education management systems.

· Attention to detail, good judgment and decision-making aptitude.

· Early childhood education experience and license is preferred.

· Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing childcare.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

· Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic always.

· Be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the USA.

· Successfully passing background checks.
