JOB OVERVIEW
We seek an experienced and motivated Technician to provide exceptional automotive maintenance and repair services for Genesis vehicles. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, a passion for working with luxury vehicles, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. A Genesis Auto Technician, also known as a Genesis automotive technician, performs maintenance and repair tasks on Genesis vehicles, known for their luxury and cutting-edge technology. These technicians play a critical role in ensuring that Genesis vehicles operate at peak performance and provide an exceptional driving experience for customers.
Genesis Auto Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the performance, safety, and reliability of Genesis vehicles. Their dedication to quality work and staying updated on the latest automotive technology ensures that Genesis owners can fully enjoy their luxury vehicles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnostic Testing: Genesis Auto Technicians use specialized diagnostic equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot issues with vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical systems, and onboard computer systems.
- Repair and Maintenance: They perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, such as engine repairs, brake replacements, suspension work, and regular maintenance services like oil changes and tire rotations.
- Parts Replacement: When necessary, they replace worn or damaged parts with genuine Genesis components to ensure the vehicle's reliability and safety.
- Software Updates: With the increasing integration of technology in Genesis vehicles, technicians may also be responsible for updating software and firmware to address performance issues and enhance vehicle features.
- Quality Control: Genesis Auto Technicians adhere to manufacturer specifications and quality control standards to ensure that all repairs and maintenance are carried out accurately and safely.
- Customer Service: They may interact directly with customers, explaining repair recommendations, providing estimates, and addressing any concerns or questions regarding the vehicle's condition.
- Documentation: Accurate record-keeping is crucial. Technicians maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, to facilitate billing, warranty claims, and future reference.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with specialized automotive training and certification.
- Experience: Prior experience as an automotive technician is preferred, and experience specifically with Genesis vehicles is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment and a deep understanding of vehicle systems and mechanics is essential.
- Certifications: Genesis Auto Technicians hold ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or equivalent credentials.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail are critical to accurately diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.
- Customer Service: Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach are valuable when dealing with clients.
- Safety: Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment are paramount.
