OCCUPATION: LEAD – Metso Bilingual

LOCATION: PLANT 2-Milwaukee

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Area Manager, the Lead of Metso is responsible for directing and coordinating production activities in the Metso area and at various off site locations to ensure efficient operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Direct and expedite the flow of production activities within the company workplace as well as off site locations.

Plan, resource, execute and own continuous improvement initiatives for road operations.

Coordinate job set-ups by communicating with Sales and Customer Service staff for job specifications. Assure that appropriate equipment is ready for transport to off site locations and that equipment and vehicles are in good working condition.

Directly lead(supervise) employees. Train and guide staff on correct procedures, policies and safety precautions. Ensure compliance with quality, safety and housekeeping procedures.

Perform tasks similar to those being performed by production personnel in order to expedite production activities.

Evaluate and analyze mechanical or production process related problems. Determine fastest and most cost effective way to solve problems.

Represent Bentley World Packaging in a professional manner. Communicate with Customers on site representative to assure BWP employees comply with rules and regulations. Promote and contribute to a positive, cooperative working environment as well as maintain a clean and organized work area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read, analyze and interpret company policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions of employees of the organization. Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include a forklift, various small hand tools and measuring devices. Generally requires the knowledge of basic shop math and the ability to calculate figures.

Must demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgement in developing solutions to day to day problems/occurrences when interacting with staff. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must have a valid drivers license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls and talks or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and use foot/feet to operate forklift.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

WORD ENVIRONMENT: Shop environment. While performing the duties of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes. Temperatures will vary from cool to warm depending upon the season.
