- Material planning activities required to support production demand and satisfy customer requirements. This includes decision making/managing material based from primarily international suppliers that is valued at approximately 25% of sales volume.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and integrity in accordance with department goals and objectives. Understanding/maintaining levels are critical as too much inventory affects floor space and working capital while shortages can cause transport expedite dollars up to production outages.
- Responsible for ensuring designated storage location using FIFO principles for all material.
- Provide customer support both internally and externally when dealing with a majority of customers based overseas.
- Perform to all quality systems standards.
- Support and drive continuous improvement activities to positively affect the profitability of the Company.
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping principles.
- High school diploma required and some college preferred (Two years formal education or related experience)
- Minimum of three years Materials/Logistics experience
- Knowledge of SAP, MRP and Lean Manufacturing required
- International material planning experience preferred
