Benson Integrated Marketing Solutions is Hiring an Estimator, Architectural Signage (Hybrid) Near Alpharetta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Estimator, Architectural Signage, holds a crucial position primarily responsible for estimating the costs and retail prices of Benson Signs' jobs/projects. This includes setting up new estimates, issuing bid documents to subcontractors/vendors, and tracking their responses, while also maintaining an updated database of subcontractors. Motivated by the goal of delivering an exceptional client experience, they possess a client-centric mentality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Estimating all materials and labor associated signage
Estimating delivery and logistics associated with all signage projects
Writing statements of work (SOW) and other attributes for all estimates, bids, and RFPs
Keeping estimating statistics & metrics
Must have a keen focus on accuracy, quality of work and timely delivery to/with key stakeholders.
Working with Relationship Directors and Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure a complete understanding of the project/job scope of work (“SOW”) and challenges assumptions to gain clarity
Reviewing and assessing client SOW, site plans and other documents (internally and externally provided) for understanding of the requirements, identification of gaps, determining the approach and engaging steps to generate the estimate
Prepare detailed bid general conditions, specifications, drawings and/other documents for submission to subcontractors/vendors for external quotes and estimates
Aggregating subcontractor/vendor responses, assessment for adherence to scope, comprehensible pricing and timing
Collaborating with internal fabrication/production managers and SMEs for collection of needed job/project labor, resources and materials
Generating clear, detailed and all-inclusive SOW including but not limited to; site details, materials (substrates, lighting specifications, blocking, etc., survey & installation conditions and details, fabrication timelines, invoice terms and price quote
Collaborating and assisting Sales, Account Management and others with accurately pricing change orders
Assessing subcontractor territory coverage for sufficiency and searching for and vetting subcontractors for competency, capability, and client experience fit
Fostering relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members, etc.
Performing and presenting regular market competitive analysis (where we are by type, time, price, etc.) to maintain business competitiveness and effectiveness. Updating applicable tools, calculators, etc.
Required, Associates degree from technical college or equivalent experience; construction or architectural management. Equivalent experience considered.
Work Experience:
Required, 5 years’ experience with construction and/or sign estimation
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
Strong strategic and analytical thinking capability

Skilled at proposal creation and market analysis with regard to pricing
Strong technical knowledge of signage product substrates, materials, supplies, methodologies and applications
Strong listening and communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong organization and logical skills
Works independently and takes initiative to accomplish tasks
Detail oriented in product design and standard adherence
Performs complex reporting tasks (spreadsheets, expenses, and reports)
Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Suite Intermediate level knowledge of sign fabrication
Strong relationship building skills
WORK ENVIORNMENT:
Working at computer and sitting for long periods of time.
Walking, lifting (up to 30 pounds),
Travel: Up to 20% (driving and flying)
Capable of working weekends and/or staggered shifts, as required
Vision abilities to proofread, verify color correctness, focus, etc. at a very close viewing distance
