Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union seeks a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team as the Elementary Life Skills Program Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, and expertise in developing personalized programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Program objective is to provide direct instruction in applied academic concepts and create functional learning opportunities to develop independence.
Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement in Special Education Copies of transcripts and license(s) must be uploaded to the application for all licensed positions. Successful applicants to Licensed positions will be required to provide official transcripts to Human Resources before completion of the hiring process. Preferences: VT AOE Licensure as a Special Educator
