Job Description:
Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union seeks a passionate and dedicated 7/8 Humanities Teacher to join our team of collaborative and enthusiastic staff at Manchester Elementary Middle School. In this position, the Teacher will deliver engaging, proficiency-based Social Studies and English/Language Arts instruction to 7th and 8th grade students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. The 7/8 Humanities Teacher is responsible for delivering learning opportunities that develop students' informational, critical, technological, quantitative, and media literacies, supervising and assessing student performance, & collaborating with content/grade-level colleagues to ensure transferable skill development in accordance with district ends policies.
Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience teaching Social Studies and English/Language Arts to middle school students.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement Copies of transcripts and license(s) must be uploaded to the application for all licensed positions.
