Bennington Rutland Supervisory Union is Hiring a 1st Grade Teacher Near Londonderry, VT

Job Description:
Flood Brook School seeks an enthusiastic, open-minded 1st Grade Teacher with a growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers serving students in Grades K-6 for the 2024/2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with intermediate students, a passion for teaching content areas, and a desire to collaborate with colleagues. The ideal candidate will be a strong, passionate individual who is committed to continuing to work on their teaching practice through professional development.
Candidates should be able to design engaging curriculum, differentiate instruction, engage in progress monitoring, join data teams, and work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and paraeducators. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of learners and grade levels: have strong collaborative skills, understand the importance of teaching social and emotional skills, create a positive learning environment that invites respect for all students, parents, and staff, and practice a commitment to inclusion and diversity. Training in Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practices is preferred.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement Copies of transcripts and license(s) must be uploaded to the application for all licensed positions. Successful applicants to Licensed positions will be required to provide official transcripts to Human Resources before completion of the hiring process. Preferences: VT AOE Licensure in Elementary Education Grades K-6
