The Speech Language Pathologist makes a difference by -

The staffSpeech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients/residents,communicates withfamilies, physicians, and other health team members, and maintains documentationof services inthe medical record. The Speech-Language Pathologist also conducts in-services and trainingfor facility staff on an ongoing basis in restorative techniques.

Additionally, the Speech Language Pathologist will –

• Evaluatepatients/residents and develops and follows effective treatment plans withapproval for services from referring physician.
• SuperviseSpeech-Language Pathology Assistants and Rehab Aides in direct patient/residentcare and patient/resident related activities in accordance with the statepractice act.
• Participatein Facility Performance Improvement programs.
• Coordinatewith members of other departments, attending physicians, committee members, andother staff within the Rehab department.
• Ensureappropriate rehab staffing levels through daily coordination of rehab staffassignments.

You might be a great fit if you have these things –

• Master’sdegree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Currentlicense to practice profession in state required.
• 2 years of experience as a Therapist preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
