Since 1919, Bennett Pump Company has been a global leader in engineering, design and manufacturing of fueling technologies for the transportation industry. Purchased in 1998 by the Hines Corporation, Bennett has developed some of the world's most advanced fuel dispensers for use with a variety of alternative fuels including hydrogen and compressed and liquefied natural gas. Bennett Pump Company is well known around the world for making robust refueling hydraulics and the world's most accurate fuel metering systems. Because of manufacturing experience and global sourcing partnerships, Bennett Pump is a low-cost, high-quality producer in the industry and can be significantly more agile and responsive to customers than its competitors. Bennett’s recent growth has resulted in a need for a dynamic Marketing Manager to join our growing team.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This full-time salary exempt position will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining all Marketing functions and Marketing support for Bennett Pump Company. This person will provide various support duties such as preparing marketing materials, maintain material inventory, and distribution of literature. Use of computer applications for spreadsheets, databases, graphics, and web page content is required. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support field sales team in daily requests for data, direct where to go for answers.
  • Produce, modify and manage brochures, price sheets and all other peripherals such as distribution agreements, new account applications, and field communications – daily/weekly.
  • Creative initiative and ingenuity to develop and enlist support for new ideas and opportunities that will further Bennett Pump Company through accelerated Marketing campaigns.
  • Produce, distribute and maintain all “Need to Know” bulletins and publications – monthly.
  • Provide graphic design renderings with color pallets and dimensional criteria for new or revised image changes as may be required for customers graphic(s) approval process and engineering layout prior to production release – weekly
  • Produce and coordinate sales packages for shows, including booth, travel and hotel coordination as needed – monthly/weekly
  • Produce and maintain RFQ tender packages needed for new customer opportunities and revised programs (i.e., Valero, Shell, etc.). This will include revisions to brochures, specs, and price sheets – weekly
  • Coordinate pricing updates on our MRP system, website and external distribution – monthly
  • Drive Update website content, functional changes and basic maintenance – weekly
  • Additional functional and cross functional duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Education & Industry Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Petroleum Industry.

Technical Experience:

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to complete tasks assigned with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products or similar software packages, including: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and others.
  • Working knowledge of Symix/Syteline & Publisher is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, perform a variety of task and follow directions.
  • Experience in the use of office machines required (i.e., computer, calculator, copier, fax, multi-phone lines, postage machine, etc.)
  • Must have strong typing skills- 40/60 WPM.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. Ability to write and understand complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Ability: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; must be able to reach for, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee may frequently be required to bend, twist, and turn. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level is limited and does not require hearing protection or personal protective devices.
