Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the overall well-being of the individuals under your care.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as required
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Engage in meaningful activities and provide companionship
- Implement individualized care plans and follow established protocols
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the individuals under your care
- Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in healthcare or related fields are a plus
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or assisted living preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is beneficial
