Perform various inspections (FHWA and company required), preventive maintenance and repairs to Bennett's fleet of owned, leased, rented, trucks, trailers, forklifts, auxiliary power motors and other support equipment as directed by Supervisor. Complete required paperwork and computer work for documentation, and submit them in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct physical diagnostics and repairs on various company equipment. Ability to complete those repairs in an above average fashion (time, quality and Safely) with no assistance or direct supervision. This also Includes Satellite tracking systems installation and repairs as directed, along with power and drive train diagnosis and repairs.
Be knowledgeable with FMCSA DOT standards for the various types of equipment. Be Knowledgeable with Power and Drive train components for Various Class 8 Equipment.
Use shop computer systems (TMT&TMS) for work order repair order completion, repair activity, time charge, parts Inventory and charges and general shop production tracking and or report completing.
Assist other Bennett team members when asked or directed by supervisors and Managers. In a friendly and cooperative manner.
Ability to work in a outdoor environment in various climates, and various locations to include occasional roadsides.
5-7 Years of fleet maintenance & repair experiences with Nationally recognized Industry specific Certifications and OEM Course completion certificates.
Diagnose and complete necessary repairs of vehicle (tractor; trailer; forklift; auxiliary motor) brake, electrical, pneumatic, suspension, floor, coupling devices and Brakes systems ,Power and Drive Train component’s in compliance with OEM/FMCSA standards
Ability to understand and operate various company equipment, with verbal instructions being provided. (i.e., forklifts, tractors, trailers, and select trailer components). Ability to safely and effectively preform welding, cutting, grinding to make repairs.
