Bennett Inc, located in Lamar, Missouri, is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated individual to fulfill the duties of Equipment Operator.

Summary:

The operator will be a team leader who is responsible for completion of construction activities while ensuring compliance with all code and safety regulations. Salary will be based on experience and competitive with regional industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· OSHA 10 hour card required

· Knowledge of safety guidelines on a heavy construction job site including use and wear of appropriate PPE.

· Operate all equipment in a safe and correct manner to prevent accidents and damage to property.

· Maintain proper coordination with crew, respond to signals and direction.

· Work hand in hand with laborers.

· Perform road work, excavation, lifting work, etc. as needed.

· Do safety, maintenance, and servicing checks of machinery to ensure proper functioning of equipment.

· Perform maintenance and repairs as needed and report to management for major repairs.

· Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate equipment including excavators, backhoe, skid steer, etc.

· Must be able to identify, anticipate, and analyze potential problems and solutions.

Physical Demands:

· Overnight travel as projects and company responsibilities require.

· Frequently lift 20-50 pounds.

· Bend, squat, climbing stairs or ladders on occasion.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in utility construction.

· Effective under pressure and at productive pace.

· Solid employment history.

· Commercial driver’s license.
