Benjamin Manufacturing LLC is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Lithia Springs, GA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented part-time CAD Designer to join our team to work in person at our plant. No remote work applications please. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models using Fusion or other computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will collaborate with engineers and plant personnel to develop innovative designs for various plastic and metal components and systems.

Responsibilities:

- Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as Fusion, Autodesk or other.

- Collaborate with engineers to develop design concepts and specifications.

- Export work in to G-Code for CNC table routers and help assign tools and tool paths

- Apply knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure accurate and precise designs.

- Conduct design reviews to gather feedback and make necessary modifications.

- Generate technical drawings, assembly instructions, and other documentation for manufacturing purposes.

- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and function of components.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of designs into larger systems.

- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in CAD software.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role.

- Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion, Autodesk or other

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques.

- Familiarity with GD&T standards.

- Experience in technical writing for documentation purposes.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to labor laws.
