Job Summary:
We are a dental office located in Alhambra, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide high-quality patient care. Your role will involve assisting with dental procedures, taking X-rays, chair side assisting, cleaning chairs after procedures, sterilization, patient scheduling, and patient intake.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Take X-Rays
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, and billing

Experience (all recommended)
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and operating dental imaging systems
- Familiarity with Open Dental software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Certifications:
- BLS certification (recommended)
- X-Ray certification (recommended)
- CDA certification (recommended)
- OSHA training certification (recommended)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
