Job Specific Expectations
Oversight of the Admissions Program

  • Build relationships and perform outreach with area schools and educational agencies
  • Celebrate and exhibit positive school culture
  • Create a positive BFHS experience for internal and external stakeholders
  • Design, communicate, and implement recruitment events, currently: Open House Welcome Wednesdays, Franklin Welcome Night, Franklin Summer Institute
  • Ensure admissions process and testing are family and student centered
  • Establish an annual plan, marketing materials and schedule to engage and recruit new students
  • Explore and advance programs and policies that support an accessible, equitable, and transparent admissions program
  • Facilitate options for out-of-state and out-of-country families
  • Greet visitors, respond to emails, and answer phone calls to serve as an ambassador and information hub
  • Maintain and process documents and applications related to the admissions and test registration process: Including test accommodations, exceptions, and appeals
  • Meet the needs of the public and governance for admissions information; stay abreast of Charter compliance and authorization requirements
  • Promote institutional progress via educational landscape awareness
  • Serve as an ambassador for Franklin in the larger community and an influencer of positive school culture within Franklin
  • Attend, lead, and participate in school and community events
  • Reporting - Support required reporting to NOLA Public Schools, the Department of Education, as well as for School Leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or 5 years of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to generate ideas, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in an academic setting
  • 3 Years of experience
