Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Marketing Content & Brand Specialist in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.

Position Summary:

Is writing your passion? Do you enjoy the creative side of marketing when it comes to writing content for newsletters, brochures, social media, publications, etc.? Does the thought of collaborating with professionals and the Business Development team to raise brand awareness seem like the perfect fit for you? Then you might want to talk with us about our Marketing Content & Brand Specialist position. This role is for the experienced writer who thrives on creating marketing communications.

The Marketing Content & Brand Specialist works the Marketing Team to promote the Firm's dynamic and growing brand through traditional content marketing. The role requires a combination of writing skills including copywriting, proofreading and editing to assist in translating complex topics into engaging content across all the Firm's platforms. As the Marketing Content & Brand Specialist, you will be an instrumental part the Firm's award-wining Marketing Team.

Essential Functions:

  1. Writes and edits copy for a broad range of applications, including website content, print brochures, professional biographies, newsletters, press releases, email marketing, social media, advertisements, invitations, award nominations, ranking submissions, attorney publications, etc.
  2. Collaborates with attorneys and the Firm's in-house Marketing and Business Development team to deliver campaigns and collateral pieces (including the development of new content and the editing/updating of existing content) that raise brand awareness and drive business growth.
  3. Coordinates and participates in various marketing communications initiatives and contributes to strategy and workflow development.
  4. Plays a key role in branding the Firm through a sophisticated and business-minded yet personable, engaging, and accessible voice.
  5. Helps ensure consistency in the Firm's messaging and voice across all platforms.
  6. Assists in the editing and approval of client-facing publications and other thought leadership content.
  7. Regularly audits the Firm's content, including the website and firm collateral, to correct errors and ensure best practices are being followed.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The Marketing Content & Brand Manager must have a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism or other related field. 3-5 years of writing-intensive experience in a professional services field (legal, accounting, financial) or marketing/public relations agency environment is required. Experience with professional services marketing, publishing and/or business media is preferred. A working knowledge of client relationship management software and MS based office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Must possess excellent writing, grammar, proofreading and editing skills as well as a strong attention to detail, creativity and an exceptional attitude to meet the needs of internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible and handle changing project criteria, multiple projects, shifting priorities and tight deadlines is a must.
