Position Title: BUILDING SERVICES JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Building Services Plumbing/HVAC Foreman
JOB DEFINITION:
Under general supervision, the Building Services Plumber installs, repairs and maintains all district plumbing and heating systems; but includes the repair of pneumatic systems and maintenance of the steam and water distribution systems. The Building Services Plumber works under the supervision of the Building Services Plumbing/HVAC Foreman.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This employee can anticipate occasional exposure to inclement weather and the unpleasant conditions associated with sewer repairs. Climbing ladders and working in cramped conditions or small spaces is routine. Individual must be comfortable with heights up to 80 feet. Lifting and/or carrying of heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds are regular functions of this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of grammar and the ability to use correct speech and compose routine correspondence is required. The position requires the ability to understand technical instructions.
The position requires working knowledge of technical procedures or work activity areas and ability to teach them to others. In-depth knowledge of work-related School District policies and practices is necessary. Job proficiency can be acquired in twelve to twenty-four months.
