Benchmark Family Services is a foster care agency in Corbin, KY. We have had the privilege of placing and managing the cases of thousands of youth in the foster care systems across Kentucky and Indiana for over 26 years. Our Corbin branch serves not only the city of Corbin but also surrounding Whitley, Knox, Bell, and Harlan counties. We are professional, agile, and supportive and our work is to provide top notch care to youth placed in out-of-home care.

Job Overview:
Children often need someone to talk to when they’re trying to process a major life event, such as being bullied, moving to a new location, changing schools, or dealing with the ongoing struggle of placement in out-of-home care (foster care). Their problems affect not only how they act and feel but also how they perform in school.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapist to join our team at BFS. As a Therapist, you will provide counseling and therapy services to youth who have been placed with our agency. Your role will involve conducting assessments, participating in the development and updating of treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support youth in their journey towards improved mental well-being.
This position is an in-office position, but the schedule you will be in office is very flexible to fit your own needs and the needs of the children/families that you work with. Telehealth services will be approved on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:
If not fully licensed as one of the above, must have a master’s degree in a Human Services field practicing under direct supervision of an individual with one of the following credentials: Psychiatrist, clinical Psychologist (certified or licensed, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Professional Art Therapist, or Licensed Behavioral Analyst. *
* We are willing to provide partial or possibly full reimbursement of supervision costs.
