Summary:
Performs general housekeeping on all areas to insure a clean and orderly environment for customers, customer products and employees.

Responsibilities:
* Clean various types of floors and stairs by dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping and/or vacuuming
* Maintain washroom by polishing mirrors, cleaning toilets and sinks; ensure that needed supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper and soap are available.
* Clean, dust, wax and polish furniture, office equipment, blinds and other equipment as required
* Clean carpets and rugs with brooms, carpet sweepers, vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooers
* Empty and clean wastebaskets; Deposit sweeping and trash into receptacles; Move receptacles to collection points and empty trash into trash carts
* Move heavy carts of paper and waste to designated locations for disposal
* Clean and wash walls, windows and office partitions; Vacuum drapes and upholstered office furniture
* Strip, refinish and scrub floors with heavy-duty buffing and polishing machines on second shift
* Move furniture and equipment in plant and office areas in performance of janitorial duties
* Use a variety of janitorial tools and equipment such as mops, pails, vacuum cleaners, push carts and various specified cleaners and supplies
* All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction
* Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement
* May provide work leadership and training to lower-level custodians

* 3 years of related experience, may include some maintenance activities and experience
* Effective interpersonal skills
* Effective multitasking skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
* Demonstrated high attention to detail
* Ability to work overtime when needed
* Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
* Ability to work with diverse groups
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity

High School Diploma or GED;
