Bemiss Academy Preschool, Inc. is Hiring a Baby room Teacher Near Valdosta, GA

Summary

A Baby room Teacher is here to create a caring and safe environment for the children and implementing activities to improve the overall care and quality of the children. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the children in reaching their developmental milestones to transition to the next classroom, developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, and providing a safe and caring classroom setting. Baby room teachers observe and document children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Director.

Duties
  • Implement curriculum activities and meet developmental goals.
  • Actively engage in supervision; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents and administrative. staff.
  • Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain certifications and complete all required trainings.
Requirements

  • High energy
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Must clear full background check.
