COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Beltway Companies is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. We are the largest commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland committed to providing first class services to our clients, employees, and communities. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Diesel Technician at Beltway Companies, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and related systems. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our clients fleets of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

• Inspection and lubrication
• Cab, frame, front axle, steering gear and springs
• Brake System
• Clutch, transmission, and differential
• Engine tune-up, electrical inspection and testing
• Trailer repairs
• Tear down and diagnostics
• Compile complete parts list
• Repair damaged areas to industry standard
• Prep surfaces for refinishing
• Refinish and color match paint

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience as a Diesel Technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license and/or reliable means of transportation

SKILL, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION:

• High school degree or additional certification/training in diesel technology is a plus
• 1 or more years of related experience
• Mechanical knowledge of diesel powered vehicles
