As a Pet Services Outreach Specialist & Pet Sitter, your responsibilities will be to foster connections with local businesses in our community and promote our dog walking/pet sitting services to grow our clientele in your service area. We are in the beggining stages of opening routes in North County after being in business in the Chula Vista area for 13 years. We thoroughly screen our potential employees, including background checks and interviews, this is not contractor work, you will be a W2 employee with specific shifts. Every position starts at $16.85 an hour tips gas reimbursement paid drive time paid sick leave flexible days off. This position is part time 10-20 hours a week and should be used only as supplemental pay, as hours vary weekly.

This position is both sales and pet sitter. You must be comfortable with people and animals.

Sales Responsibilities:

• Identify and visit groomers, pet stores, vets, dog parks, coffee shops, breweries, small businesses, and apartment leasing offices to distribute donuts and flyers. Introduce yourself and our company briefly.
• Request permission to leave flyers and explore potential referrals and future collaboration opportunities.
• Strengthen relationships by following businesses on Instagram, engaging with their content, and posting stories about donut drops for increased visibility and collaboration potential.
• Monitor connections and partnerships' progress using a spreadsheet.
• Follow up on previous connections made, ensuring ongoing collaboration efforts.
• Expand outreach on Instagram by following 30 strategic accounts daily and engaging with 10. Craft tailored direct messages, including brief introductions or partnership inquiries, depending on the account's nature. Identify pet influencers in San Diego.
• Promote our services by distributing treats and cards at dog parks, engaging with potential clients.
• Strategically place flyers near local hospitals to target potential clients, particularly nurses.
• Attend monthly vendor events with our pink tent and table to distribute flyers and treats.
• Advertise daily on Facebook groups and Nextdoor accounts.
• Use ChatGPT to compose our weekly newsletter email.

Pet Sitter Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and reliable care for pets, including feeding, exercising, and administering medications as needed.
• Daily dog walks in 15 min to 60 min increments
• Maintain cleanliness in pet areas, including litter boxes, pee pads, cages, and backyard poop pickup.
• Monitor pets for signs of illness, distress, or unusual behavior, and report any concerns to pet owners.
• Communicate regularly with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' well-being by sending photos, video and notes in our app.
• Drive up to 30 miles a day house to house.
