This position is responsible for managing all financial activities related to the Office of Strategic Venues & Event Services. Activities include overseeing operating budgets for three primary areas housed within the division: Event Services, Curb Event Center and Fisher Center for the Performing Arts. This position is responsible for overseeing invoices, collecting revenue (AR), processing and monitoring expense payments (AP), and performing profit and loss statements for events. In addition, in partnership with the Vice President for Strategic Venues & Events, the Business Operations & Finance Manager may be asked to envision future possibilities and strategic opportunities for the Office of Strategic Venues & Event Services. As the division grows, this position’s leadership and budgetary oversight may grow as well, including but not limited to the oversight of student workers and graduate assistants, providing room for upward mobility.
The Office of Strategic Venues and Event Services coordinates events in numerous event spaces across campus. Such events include but are not limited to concerts, theatrical performances, ballets, athletic events, conferences, speakers, luncheons, and meetings. Event Services serves as a one-stop-shop where event planners receive a single invoice which includes the costs for labor, equipment, catering, space rental, service charges and/or other fees. The Business Operations & Finance Manager is responsible for the oversight of this process.
Required Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or another applicable field. MBA preferred.
Required Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in business operations, finance, accounting, management or another applicable field preferred. Progressive relevant responsibility in an academic or office environment preferred.
