• Responsible for safety checks on all equipment operated throughout the production process, as well as monitoring activities of workers during production.
• Responsible for meeting quality assurance standards as set by industry programs, such as SQF.
• Ensure that all product specifications and manufacturing procedures comply with regulations.
• Responsible for setting high standards to reach production goals, ensuring that higher quantities produced do not compromise quality. If defects are discovered in products, it is the team leader's responsibility to come up with solutions.
• Administrative activities. Including but not limited to worker scheduling and attendance, training workers, and conducting performance reviews.
• Responsible for maintaining regular communication with interrelated departments, to plan and execute production goals efficiently.
• Adhere to the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the general food safety and compliance principles of SQF standards.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.
• Participate/support the SQF program and assist in the development of the system, operational standards, and corrective actions.
• Adhere to established company policies and procedures regarding plant safety such as LOTO, PPE, and machine guarding.
• Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures regarding all regulatory, Kosher or Gluten Free certification requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, alerting managers of idle time.
