POSITION TITLE: Floating Manager

REPORTS TO: Area Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Floating Manager performs and directs overall restaurant management of the assigned locations. Directs team members to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Responsible for inventory and money control systems. Responsible for supporting local marketing initiatives to promote customer sales. Maintains required business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ASSIGNED LOCATION:

· Willingly takes ownership and assumes personal accountability for the assigned locations.

· Completes and posts work schedules for team members as needed.

· Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to team members.

· Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.

· Train and develop team members.

· Maintains the business paperwork required by BellStores and Subway as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual: Daily Procedures.

· Supports local and national marketing initiatives to promote customer sales.

· Completes University of Subway® courses as directed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.

· A minimum of two (2) years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

· ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.

· Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of team members.

· Reliable transportation and phone communication.

· Ability to work variable hours as staffing demands arise.

PHYSICAL TASKS REQUIRED

· Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register (cashier).

· Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.

· Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

· Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
