Bells is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Coalville, UT

Bells Convenience Stores and Gas Stations is a small business with operations in the local area. We serve many customers each day, and put a smile on their face. The owners are personal, energetic, and easy to talk to. You will work directly with the owners. This is an enjoyable job with a lot of interesting variety.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs general maintenance in buildings, gas pumps, car washes, and common areas as assigned.
  • Working knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Working knowledge for repairing and troubleshooting: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Prevents and troubleshoots building maintenance systems.
  • Inspects and performs preventative maintenance in all facility building, equipment, and common areas.
  • Responds to and repairs safety issues in buildings, common areas, and equipment.
  • Completes all daily assignments in a timely manner.
  • Prioritizes work orders against daily assignments, keeping in constant contact to update jobs completed.
  • Use the company van loaded with tools to travel between locations for daily needs.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management.

The Maintenance Technician will also:

  • Plow snow in the winter and operate snow removal equipment as needed.
  • Occasionally operate a bucket truck.
  • At times use a Kabota tractor with bucket and back hoe attachment.
  • Assist an RV Park host with equipment maintenance and operations as backup.
  • Maintain some company vehicles, ensuring that they are operating properly and that routine maintenance is performed as needed.
  • Maintain or repair specialized equipment in fast food kitchens, C-Store buildings, and offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; one-year certificate from college or trade school preferred; must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background and motor vehicle check.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; basic work skills and competency in general repairs, and operating light equipment.

WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Will work for and with owner on various repairs and maintenance needs; also work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Bell's customers and employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs; must be willing to work various hours, holidays and weekends if needed.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Wages will be commensurate with experience and knowledge upon offer of employment.
