A growing Architectural Metal Fabrication company, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. Ideal applicants should have an architectural background in the same or a related field such as glass and glazing, curtain wall or signage and possess the knowledge and confidence to jump right in.

Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Lead Project Manager, the Project Manager ensures completion of all jobs assigned. This involves timely and accurate coordination and completion of all job tasks, while providing on-going communication with customers. This position works closely with our management team to make sure that the scope and direction of each job is on schedule.

Essential Functions

• Manage BellPro processes for multiple jobs to ensure on-time completion/delivery to customer while meeting the customer needs.
• Conduct (if applicable) or attend kick-off meetings between the Drafter and Director of Operations to assist in trouble shooting of any issues relating to the job (conception to completion).
• Identify and source all materials and initiate POs in QuickBase for each vendor(s) as required to fulfill the job. Initiate or request color samples for jobs and send out color samples to customers for approval, etc., as needed.
• Coordinating of timelines with the Director of Operations to ensure timely delivery of finished materials to vendors/customers. Compile and complete shear sheets for the job.
• Analyze customer-supplied drawings, specifications, and other documents to facilitate fabrication of jobs on-time throughout the shop. This also includes reviewing shop drawings to identify any fabrication issues or installation issues in the field.
• Identify any submittal requirements in partnership with the drafting team.
• Monitor and maintain accurate financial information within QuickBase to ensure accurate records are displayed for the P&L of a job. This includes updating and coordinating releases of materials/shipments from BP to the customer. Compare sales quotes and estimates for costs (entered into QuickBase by the sales team) versus actual costs as a job moves through the shop on a routine basis. Flag any unusual or discrepancies for the team to discuss during the Level 10 meeting held Tuesday mornings at 8:00 am. Attendance for PMs is mandatory.
• Provide constant communication and interaction with customers to discuss the job status/deadlines and inform of any modifications to the job via obtaining signed change orders from the customer.
• Initiate finish warranties and workmanship warranties for all jobs over $5,000 base value. Compile LEED certificates for all jobs over $5,000 base value.
• Send confirmation email(s) to notify customers of upcoming delivery(ies) including, all pack slips and BOL’s/Tracking as available as soon as completed materials are shipped from the shop.
• Complete and submit invoicing to accounting for material billing, progress billing and/or when the job has shipped complete.
• Handle confidential information in a professional manner.
• Create SOV’s (maintain a log on the shared drive) for PO’s as entered into QuickBase, as needed, when requested by customers.

Education and Experience Requirements

Previous experience in managing large scale projects and process knowledge from quote to completion. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. AutoCAD experience is required. Previous experience reading and understanding blueprints is required. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
