Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established procedures
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical packs accurately
- Inspect instruments for defects and ensure proper functioning
- Maintain records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet sterile processing needs
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience or training in sterile processing techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
