Design Assistant

Bellepar Homes Custom Homebuilding & Remodeling

Bellepar Homes and Remodeling is a residential & light commercial design build construction company based out of Lakeville, MN with jobs throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area and Western Wisconsin. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking a quality minded, customer service centric, versatile, and hardworking individual to support our operations as a Design Assistant.

Job Description:

Execute various tasks on new construction and remodeling projects as assigned by the Design Manager and Project Manager. Including, but not limited to:

o Assist on In-Home visits with measurements, notes, and provide insight into projects.

o Provide Chief Architect drawings & elevations– as built drawings for remodels, basement finishing and home additions, along with buildable plans.

o Collaborate with clients in managing material & color selections for new builds and Remodel projects

o Enter all client selections into selection sheets, follow up with clients for approval/confirmation.

o Execute change orders, send out to clients for selections process overage/shortages on allowances & obtain approvals.

o Communicate directly with trade partners on updated selections to obtain current/accurate pricing along with scope of work changes.

o Place orders for selections after clients sign off on selections (coordinate with project manager on timeline).

o Conduct electrical lighting layout with customer and on-site with electrical trade partner.

o Job site visits as necessary to ensure accuracy of selections are executed.

o Maintain showroom samples, ensure samples updated and organized.

o Update team meeting notes from Bellepar Homes Production meetings.

o Manage social media communications, posts and content under the direction of management.

o Assist with marketing efforts and advertising as assigned/needed.

o Additional tasks as assigned to support the business in Sales, Design and/or Production.

The Successful Candidate:

o Maintains a positive attitude, collaborative team player, proactive, strong communication and follow up skills.

o Self-starter, reliable/dependable, detail orientated and professional demeanor.

o Able to manage multiple priorities/successful at multi-tasking. Demonstrate strong time management skills and effective at prioritizing.

o Quality minded and customer service centric. Always focused on “doing the right thing”

o Strong troubleshooting /problem solving skills, ability to demonstrate solution-based thinking.

o Versatile and flexible to perform the job assignments assigned.

Desired Experience

o 2 years of industry experience; preferably in New Construction and/or Remodeling

o Drafting experience – Chief Architect Professional preferred or like software

o Knowledge of products used in New Construction/Remodeling

o Social media savvy.

Job Type: Full Time

Reports to: Design Manager

Compensation: based on qualifications & experience (including health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, retirement plan, cell phone)

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
