Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly organized Design Assistant and Store Manager to provide project and design support to a high-end residential interior design showroom. Two individuals who are trustworthy and can work within a dynamic team but are also impressive individual contributors. Candidates who are equally comfortable on the showroom floor and talking to customers and at tradeshows. About the Job

Our Design Assistant and Store Manager will become an expert in our products and be creative in offering solutions to each customer's needs. Strong sales and design skills are encouraged for this role. This is a full-time salaried position with opportunity for commission. Our Design Assistant and Store Manager will work around 40 hours per week including rotating some weekends. Belle's Lighting offers luxury lighting and furniture products that can elevate your home or business to the next level. We are looking for team members who can embody our luxurious brand with wonderful customer service skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Making outbound marketing calls
• Collaborating with sales team and clients to determine the design preferences and requirements
• Developing design concepts and presenting them to clients for approval
• Collaborating on lighting, materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that align with the client’s vision
• Managing delivery timelines, ensuring that ordered goods are on schedule
• Assisting customers in the store
• Managing lockbox

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate professional maturity
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adjusting priorities if necessary
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles and practices
• Knowledge of lighting design principles and techniques
• Familiarity with remodeling processes and construction materials
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Attention to detail and keen eye for aesthetics
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and enjoyable work environment.

Desired Knowledge and Skills

• 2 years of design experience in home furnishings, flooring, or lighting

• No relocation is offered for this position, and we will give strong preference to local candidates
• All new employees might be required to pass a drug screen and background check
